long time, no see

Ahh i really hate that I haven't posted in a week or so. I've been busy (and not in any exciting way at all) and haven't been much of my recent outfits.
Yesterday, I cleaned house to prepare for my grandparents coming into town, and my mom and I went out to dinner with them tonight. Here are some pictures from the past two days. :)

I started using the puzzle box my dad got me from Turkey as  my bracelet box :)

Framed copies of my first house design my mom got me a few years ago.

The typical condition of the shoes in my closet is absolutely pitiful...

...hopefully it'll stay like this now.

$$$ burning a hole in my pocket

So right now, I've got about $100 left over from Christmas and what-not, and I decided to make an investment with it! For a long time now, I've been wanting some Dr Martens, and now I'm finally gonna take the leap. Problem is, I don't know which to pick.

Black is classy

Today I spent some time going out and applying for jobs, and following up on others. Of course, I wanted to look as fashionably professional as possible. ;) Fingers crossed things work out soon!

I thought I'd introduce y'all to the #1 in my life...my puppy Noodles. It's likely she'll be popping up on my blog  plenty in the future. :)

First Post

Hey everyone. This is my first post on this blog, how exciting! Haha. A little bit about me:
My name's Ashley, I'm 17, and live in Georgia (US). I love everything involving creativity and design. In August I'll begin attending Clemson University as an architecture student. What I really want this blog to be is an aid in my style by inspiration and motivation.

To start things off, I'm gonna share some items I got yesterday on a shopping trip with my mom!

I was in desperate need of some new bottoms to replace all of my plain jeans that had gotten too big for me.

One of my two splurges of the day were these jeans. My pants usually aren't expensive, but  this was too great to pass up. I looove that it's mid-rise!

Finally are my heels by Candie's! I instantly fell in love. Since I'm nearly 5'10, usually I feel too self-conscious to wear anything but flat shoes. But I'm beginning to let my love of heels overpower that inhibition. :)
